Self Absorbed (#1093)

Remembering to be grateful for this day.

A few weeks ago I was looking back at younger years. I have been looking for what I lost from then. To my surprise it dawned on my that it was what I was missing that is painful to recall. Being self-absorbed, I missed opportunities to learn from so many people who touched my life.

1. F. I must remember not to take myself too seriously.

2. F Shantideva asks where can I find enough leather to cover the whole earth. Instead I just wear shoes. In other words do not worry about the externals but concentrate on the internals.
